Little steps can mean big gains to losing weight

Sometimes if we take small steps and not try to bite off too much too soon, we will make bigger strides in the long end.

You are not going to drop 50 pounds like dropping a dime, you are better thinking in short term goals and watching as your long term goal gets closer and closer. That's the most assured way of losing that poundage your so desperately trying to lose.

Happy stepping,

Dave

Compare Notes

Most of you have friends who are also dieting and hoping to lose some pounds.

In an effort to make it more beneficial to both of you, compare your notes to see the progress you are making. You know there is more power in numbers and one is the loneliest number of them all.

Happy noting,

Dave

Best time for meals?

Some people have found they tend to lose more weight when they eat later, rather than earlier. It can help you a good deal to see when the best time for your meals are. If you have a job that has steady hours for your lunch and or other meals, it's a different situation. Most of you should be able to have dinner at a certain time and if you do, it could benefit your diet to find out the time most likely to eat your last meal of the day.

Happy dining,

Dave

Have fun losing weight

Of course losing weight will be fun when you have achieved your goal weight but in the meantime, while on your game plan you should have fun. Have a contest to see how close you are to the day when you can say you reached the weight you set out to weigh.

Have fun,

Dave

Keep Records

Not the plastic ones either.

When you begin your weight loss program or any program, make sure you are keeping track of everything you do pertaining to the diet or weight loss.

You may want to write down when you are eating your meals and how much or less the diet is helping with that function.

It is a well known fact when we eat more food that we need to we expand our stomach capacity, therefore, we need to reverse this process and eating less will help it contract a little at a time.

Keep those records,

Dave

Stick to it

The one factor that you must overcome in any program is the tendency to want to give up. It is critical that you stick to it and remind yourself you are in it for the long haul.

Too often we find excuses to quit something that we feel is isn't working. In any thing that takes time, you may not see immediate results but that doesn't mean it is not working. Allow time to pass and don't judge something so fast.

Stick to it and results will come,

Dave

Teamwork?

Everybody needs somebody or words to that effect was a well known song. Not sure how many years gone by but the message is the same. When you're going into something, regardless of what it is and attempting to lose weight is certainly something that having another person to support you and talk you through the experiences can only help you do better.

Sort of like a cheering section rooting you on.

Rah Rah Rah! Lose that weight, lose that weight!
